Every bedroom needs a stylish and practical bed, that will last and look good for a long time. One of the top trending beds on Wayfair is the Jennie Tufted Upholstered Platform Bed and there are many reasons why customers keep buying this product. Let’s look at a detailed review to see if this bed is a good fit for your bedroom.

Jennie Tufted Upholstered Low Profile Platform Bed by Willa Arlo Interiors

The Jennie Platform Bed has a beautiful design, with a high tufted headboard and nailhead trim on both sides. It’s upholstered in soft velvet fabric, which is available in 6 different colors. The colors include: gray, black, cream, navy, pink and green.

  • It’s crafted from solid wood and is upholstered in velvet fabric.
  • Two nailhead finish options to choose from: chrome or gold.
  • The Jennie platform bed is compatible with an adjustable base.
  • The height of the headboard is 56 inches.

The Jennie Platform Bed has a slat system (the number of slats depending, of course, on the bed size) which means you don’t need a box spring for this one. Also depending on the bed size, this bed can support from 300 to 1,250 pounds, making it easy to share the bed with your significant other. If you own an adjustable base, you’ll be happy to know that the Jennie king size bed fits two Twin XL mattresses, so you can use it with your adjustable base.

The Jennie Platform Bed is available in four sizes: twin, full, queen and king. The wide range of available size options, makes it great for a children’s bedroom, master bedroom, or a guest room. Unfortunately, there is no California king size at this time.

  • Twin-size interior dimensions: 38.5″ wide x 74.5″ long
  • Full-size interior dimensions: 54.5″ wide x 75.5″ long
  • Queen-size interior dimensions: 60.5″ wide x 80.5″ long
  • King-size overall dimensions: 88″ wide x 86″ long

The headboard is 56″ high for all sizes, while the footboard is 14″ high. The footboard has chrome finish legs, which are 3.5″ high. The recommended mattress thickness for the Jennie Platform Bed is 13 inches.

The Jennie Velvet Tufted Upholstered Platform Bed is available in: grey, green, cream, black, blue or pink colors, as shown below.

Compare Similar Bed:

One minor setback for this platform bed is that it doesn’t have any storage space built-in. If you’re looking for a bed with a similar design that has storage space incorporated, then consider the Geralyn Upholstered Storage Platform Bed. It’s also available in the same color and size options. However, it has hidden storage in the front and sides of the bed frame. Keep in mind the the Geralyn is more expensive than the Jennie, so in the end it might not be worth the extra storage space.

Jennie Upholstered Platform Bed Reviews:

From the product description alone, the Jennie platform bed looks pretty great. It also has a very high rating of 4.6/5 stars from over 8880 customer reviews. Thousands of customers have given it a 5 star rating, with a very small percentage giving it 1 or 2 star rating. Let’s see what pros and cons other customers have found.

  • Lovely, elegant look;
  • Sturdy bed frame;
  • Easy to put together, many customers were able to assemble it alone, without any other help;
  • Soft headboard;
  • Nice color options.

  • Colors may differ a little from the pictures on the website (a lot of people complain about this, so know to expect it, if you do decide to order);
  • Slats may not be enough support.

All in all, the Jennie seems like a pretty great choice for bed, and aside from the color problem, people seem to have fairly few bad things to say about it, so it passes the customer review test.

Bottom Line – Is  It Worth It?

Another thing you’ll no doubt want to know is how much will the Jennie cost? Well, at the time of this writing, the Jennie Bed has a significant discount, with the Twin costing $566.24 (down 42% from $980), while the Full, the Queen, and the King are all priced between $581.24 – $701.24 (with a discount of around 40%).

So is the Jennie Platform Bed worth buying? Definitely. Since the only real problem we were able to find with it was the color difference, and considering the great price and the hundreds of awesome reviews, we’d say the Jennie passes the test. If you’re looking for a good platform bed to jazz up your bedroom and give you a comfortable night’s sleep, the Jennie might be the right way to go!
